Prof. Dr. Daniel Ziblatt (Center for European Studies Harvard)
Prof. Dr. Daniel Ziblatt war im Juni und Juli 2018 als erster Fellow am Institut für Bayerische Geschichte. Dabei nahm er an den Oberseminartagen von Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Kramer in Passau und weiteren Veranstaltungen des Instituts teil und hielt einen Gastvortrag.
Daniel Ziblatt ist seit 2003 Professor of Government and Social Studies, seit 2018 Eaton Professor of the Science of Government am Center for European Studies der Harvard University und forscht schwerpunktmäßig zur europäischen Politik und Staatenbildungs- sowie Demokratisierungsprozessen. Seine jüngste Veröffentlichung "How Democracies Die" war ein New York Times Bestseller.
Am 28. Juni fand sein Gastvortrag zum Thema „Conservative Parties and the Birth of Democracy“ statt.
